Reconstructive Surgery Implants

After a mastectomy, some women choose to have cosmetic surgery to recreate the breast. This surgery can be performed during mastectomy itself or later.

The breast is usually reshaped into two phases or surgeries. During the first phase, a tissue expander is used. During the second, an implant is placed. Sometimes, the implant is inserted into the first phase.

If you are having breast reconstruction at the same time as mastectomy, we can achieve that by preserving of the skin. This means that only the area around the nipple and areola is removed, leaveing more skin to make it easier for breast reconstruction.
